Concrete Countertops

Holland Decorative Concrete prefers the precast method (it enables us to do more detailed and custom designs) but will do whatever our customer prefers. It is important that we meet with the customer to design the countertop. Once this is complete we can begin the process. If we precast: We can come in anytime after the cabinents are installed and meet with the customer and make the template. We will then go and form, stain, seal and finish the countertops at Holland Decorative Concrete. The process will take around three weeks before we can install at the jobsite. Before we will install the countertop: 1. The cabinets need to be painted and finished. 2. There should be no back splashes or electrical outlets installed until after we install the countertop. Installing the countertop will take 1 day. Once the countertop is installed you will be set. If we pour in place: 1.The cabinets need to be painted and finished before we install the countertops. 2. Back splashes, electrical outlets, etc. should be installed AFTER we finish our process. 3. We will need 3 days to form, pour and finish. The countertops will then need to cure for 2 weeks. During this time No One should work around them and set anything on them. At this stage they will be SUSCEPTIBLE TO STAINS. 4.We will come after 2 weeks and engrave (if desired), stain and seal them. The seal will need to sit until the next day and then you will be set.
